Parkside Hotel

On the foothills of the Adelaide Hills wine region whilst still close to Adelaide’s CBD, Parkside Hotel is the perfect mix of city meets country and the ideal spot to enjoy a wine in the warm weather. Sunny afternoons are done the right way here, with timber decking, tables, stools and greenery, this breezy space is the perfect spot to while away the day.

Parkside’s Bob & Olives garden is ideal for both families and friends, with an outdoor play area for the little ones, meaning you can soak up some sun and take it easy with your favourite drink while the little ones stay occupied. It’s not just about the kids though, the hotel has teamed up with 23rd Street Distillery for a range of signature cocktails throughout spring and summer.

The kitchen specialises in modern Australian pub food whilst championing the best of South Australia’s local produce. Their approach to food is simplistic, allowing the food to do the talking. The hotel also offers brunch as well as live music on weekends.

Brighton Metro Hotel

Just down the road from Adelaide’s much loved Brighton beach, The Brighton Metro beer garden is a must stop after a swim in the summer months. Having served the beachside community for 175 years, the hotel has had a major revamp and is the place to play when the sun comes out.

With the sunlight pouring in and the smell of salty air, the beer garden has a modern urban feel with concrete and timber features, colourful artwork, stylish seating and retro umbrellas offering shade. Be sure to bring your pooch along with you, as four-legged friends are more than welcome.

The kitchen leans towards an Asian-beachside inspired style and a huge all-you-can-eat buffet offering sushi, karaage fried chicken, duck pancakes, and fish tacos along with pub classics. If you’re after a refreshing treat, hit up the ice cream stand for something sweet.
