The Pass is a loyalty program that allows you to order food and drinks, earn points, redeem rewards and score member exclusive promotions at over 190 pubs, bars and restaurants. Signing up is free. Please refer to The Pass Terms and Conditions Here.
Simply download The Pass app from the App Store or Google Play (search for ‘The Pass’) and follow the prompts to complete the registration process. You will need to be over 18 and have a credit or debit card to link to your account for payments. Once registration is complete, you will get $10 food and drink credit to use towards your first order.
The Pass is available at 190 pubs, bars and restaurants located across Australia, find them here or via the Venue feature within the app.
When looking for a watering hole within the app you will also be able to view opening times, special offers and will have the ability to book a table. For the best experience, please make sure you turn on your mobile location services so that The Pass app can show you venues nearby.
Simply open the app, make sure your venue is selected and tap the order button to choose how you order. Once the order is processed you will see how many points you have earned.
If your date of birth is incorrect in your Profile Details within The Pass, please contact us and we’ll get it updated!
The most common reason for not receiving a password reset email is if you used social sign-up, i.e. you signed up with Facebook, Google or Apple, rather than email.
Try to log in by choosing the social login options, rather than entering an email and password. If that’s still unsuccessful, please contact us.
Simply open the app, make sure your venue is selected and tap the order button to choose how you order. Once the order is processed you will see how many points you have earned.
You can view your order history in the My Activity section of the More tab within The Pass app.
Simply click on an individual order in the My Activity section to view the full details of the transaction, including an option to download a PDF copy.
You can register debit or credit Mastercard and Visa or an AMEX card.
If you think there has been an ordering or transaction error, please contact us via the Help & Support section of The Pass or send us an email at hello@thepassbyavc.com.au.
Yes, you can. You will, however, need to select your preferred payment card. This will be the card used for all payments until you decide to change it.
If an order fails but your credit has disappeared, it should automatically return to your account within 15 minutes.
If you see a small pending charge on your account from ‘Verify Auth’ and are wondering what it is, don’t worry — this is a temporary card authorisation and will be returned to your bank account. This is used to validate your payment method and help protect against fraud.
Some banks may send you a text or other notification that a card authorisation has been requested. This is completely normal and will not actually be charged, but may take up to 10 days to return to your account, depending on your bank.
If you’re on an Android device and can’t see any venues to select, your ‘Android System Webview’ may need a software update.
How to:
You will earn points for every transaction via The Pass App. The earn rate will be 10 points for every $1 spent. Accumulated points can be redeemed for Credit. Once you have reached 1,000 points you can redeem a $10 credit. Or, save up 2,000 or 5,000 points and redeem for a $20 or $50 credit respectively.
In most cases, points will be awarded straight after a transaction has taken place. In some cases, it might take up to 24 hours to reflect in your account.
There is no limit!
Points will expire if there is no account activity over a 12-month period. Account activity requires a member to have earned or redeemed Points within the previous 12 months.
For example, if you earned points on January 1st 2022, you only need to make one additional points-earning transaction or Points redemption by January 1st 2023 to avoid expiry.
You will receive notifications when your Points are about to expire, so please make sure you turn on push notifications.
The Pass has a Help & Support section. Please select ‘More’, ‘Help & Support’ and then select ‘Contact Us’ for help with your issue. Select the most relevant option on the page, describe your issue and submit your help request to our support team. We will respond to your issue as soon as possible.
Yes! When you pay at the bar at any of our venues using the same payment card that’s stored in your Pass account, our ‘card matching’ feature means you’ll still earn points on your transaction. It will show in your ‘My Activity’ page as ‘External purchase’.
Please note that card matching only allows you to earn points on your transactions; any Pass credit or Pass offers will not apply.
Credit is valid for 3 months if it has been earned via a points redemption. Any credit earned by converting an AVC Gift Voucher code into The Pass Credit will be valid for 12 months. Promotional credits outside of these will have their expiry period clearly outlined when the code is provided.
You can track the expiry date of any available credit by tapping on your credit balance on the Home tab. Alternatively, head to the More tab on the navigation menu and select ‘Credits’.
Once you have credit in The Pass’s digital wallet, it will be automatically applied to your next order. The way it works is as follows:
Open The Pass App. Head to the More tab on the navigation menu and select ‘Promo Code’. Enter your code & click ‘Apply promo code’. Your promo code will be automatically applied to your account if it is valid.
Voucher code not working? Please contact us via the Help & Support section of The Pass or send us an email at hello@thepassbyavc.com.au.
Yes, Australian Venue Co. (AVC) may send members promotions which include Credit. The amount of credit and all associated conditions (including expiry) will be at AVC’s complete discretion. The member may be required to enter a promo code to redeem the Credit promotion.
Once you’ve completed signing up to The Pass, enter a referral code by going to More > Promo Code.
Referral codes must be entered prior to making your first order in The Pass.
No, referral codes can only be entered prior to making your first order.
You’ll only receive your points once your referee spends enough in The Pass to be charged to their stored payment method.
If they’ve only spent using The Pass credit, you won’t receive your points yet.
Yes, you can refer a maximum of 100 people to The Pass, after which your referral code will no longer work.
Referrals – or ‘Invite a friend’ – is a referral program that rewards existing members of The Pass who encourage their friends to also sign up to The Pass.
It rewards both the existing member for referring a new member, as well as the new member for signing up with a referral code.
When you sign up with a referral link, or enter a referral code in More > Promo Code before making your first purchase, you’ll receive 500 bonus points. This is in addition to the $10 welcome credit that all new signups receive.
You’ll receive 500 points when someone uses your referral code. The points will be added to your account once they’ve made an order that is at least partially charged to their stored payment method, i.e. once they’ve spent more than the $10 welcome credit, plus any other credit they may have.
If the new user has only ordered and paid using The Pass credit, the 500 points won’t be added to your account yet.
You can find your referral code in The Pass app by going to More > Invite a friend, get 500 points.
Show your digital or printed gift card when paying for your order and a staff member will assist you.
Got a gift card you’d would like to convert for app credit?
Enter your gift card number (under ‘Voucher Number’) into the ‘Promo code’ section, located in the app menu.

Levels rewards users for spending more with The Pass. The more you spend, the more you get! The higher your Level, the better your rewards.
Your Level is based on your spend within a 12 month period. Your spend resets to $0 each time you either:
A) Move up a level; or
B) Reach your ‘Anniversary Date’
Level 1: $250 – $499.99
Level 2: $500 – $1,999.99
Level 3: $2,000 – $4,999.99
Level 4: $5,000+
For example, if you reach $250 spend on 1st April 2024, you will move up to Level 1, and your spend resets to $0. Then, between April 1st 2024 and March 31st 2025, you need to spend at least $250 again to maintain your Level 1. Or, if you reach $500 spend before March 31st 2025, you will move up to Level 2, and your spend resets to $0 on that date, which becomes your new anniversary date.
To the pub!
Your anniversary date begins as your signup date to The Pass (or 7th May if you’re already signed up to The Pass), but will change as you move Levels.
When you move up or down a Level, your anniversary date resets to the date in which you moved. That means you have 12 months from your new anniversary date to reach the spend requirements to either maintain or progress your Level.
For example, if you reach the Level 1 spend requirement on August 5th, you will move up to Level 1, and your new anniversary date is now August 5th. You have until August 4th the following year to reach your new Level spend requirements.
A few days before your birthday, you’ll be sent an email to redeem your birthday credit. You need to be opted in to receiving emails from us to be able to receive your birthday credit code. Please reach out to hello@thepassbyavc.com.au if you don’t receive it!
You will move down Levels if you don’t meet the required spend by your anniversary date. Your new Level will be based on your spend in the previous 12 month period.
For example, you reached Level 3, but only spent $300 in the following 12 months, so you drop back to Level 1.
As your birthday credit is emailed to you a few days prior to your birthday, the amount of credit you receive will depend on what level you’re in at that time. If you go up a level between receiving that credit and your birthday, unfortunately you’ll be unable to receive the higher credit amount.
No, credit spend does not count towards your Level spend requirements. Your spend is tracked by adding up the total payment value of your transactions that is charged to your card, which excludes discounts or credits.
For example, your transaction was $100, but included $10 credit, and only $90 was charged to your card. Only $90 will track towards your Levels spend.
Yes! Even if you haven’t yet reached level 1, you’ll still receive the usual benefits of The Pass such as earning 10 points per dollar spent, $20 birthday credit, and access to offers. Perks and rewards get better with each new level you reach!
The more you spend, the higher your level. To see what you need to spend to reach the next Level, head to the Rewards page, and choose the My Benefits tab. This will show you how much is required to spend by the anniversary date to reach the next Level.
To maintain your loyalty level, you need to spend the minimum amount in the 12 month period before your next anniversary date.
To move up a level, you need to reach the required amount before your next anniversary date.
For example, you reached level 1 on January 20th. During the following 12 months you can either:
If you’ve signed up to The Pass, you’re in! Spend $250 within a 12 month period to unlock the added benefits at Level 1.
When logged into The Pass app, head to the Rewards page, then the My Benefits tab to see your current Level and benefits.
Yes! When earning points with our ‘card matching’ feature (transactions that appear in your My Activity as ‘External Purchase’), this will also contribute to your loyalty level spend.
However, please keep in mind that the card matching feature only allows you to accumulate points on your transaction. Offers and credit in The Pass are only available when ordering via The Pass app.
No. Your spend is calculated based on the spend since your anniversary date. When you move a Level, your anniversary date and spend tracking resets.
However, if you require $10 spend to reach the next Level, and you make a $50 order, the extra $40 will be included in your next Level’s spend.
Yes! For bookings that require pre-payment in the booking platform SevenRooms (e.g. large group bookings or bottomless brunches, etc), this spend will count towards your spend tracking once you attend your visit. This is also when you’ll automatically receive the points for that booking.
When making the booking, please ensure that you’re using the same email and mobile number as your The Pass account so that your booking is matched to your account.
Yes! When you purchase a gift card from within The Pass, this spend is included in your spend tracking, provided it’s purchased via payment method. If the gift card is purchased using The Pass points, this is not included.
Your spend requirements are tracked when you spend in The Pass. If you make a $20 transaction (excluding credit), this counts towards your spend requirements, so your requirements will drop by $20.
