Three nights, three pubs, one seriously funny line-up. Basement Comedy Club is bringing a brand-new stand-up show to three much-loved Brisbane pubs on three consecutive nights, so no matter which side of Brisbane you call home, the laughs are never far away.
Headlining are The Nelson Twins, who’ve been performing together since 2006, bringing cracking one-liners, on-stage bickering and quick-fire audience banter to crowds across the country.
They’re joined by Kat Davidson, who has spent more than 25 years delivering warm, engaging comedy to audiences across Australia and Canada, with appearances at Brisbane Comedy Festival, Perth Fringe, Wonderland and Adelaide Fringe.
Rounding out the line-up is Fred Lang, whose comedy career has taken him from local stand-up bars to entertaining Australian Defence Force troops in Afghanistan — anything but an ordinary ride through the Australian comedy circuit, and one that’s made him a seriously entertaining performer.
Same cast, three different pub crowds, three different vibes; from the bay views at The Sands, to Springlake’s entertainment hub, to the Koala’s newly done-up bistro and beer garden in the Redlands. Whether you’re chasing a date-night idea, a birthday outing or just an excuse for a good pub meal and great comedy, this run gives you three chances (three venues, three nights) to catch it live.
