With a rich history dating back to 1908, when it was established by the visionary piano tuner John St Clair, Fairfield Park Boathouse offers a unique and unforgettable experience.
Initially given approval by the Premier and the Yarra Bend Hospital of the Insane, it started as a boat shed and refreshment room area. However, in the early 1980s, the Boathouse faced closure due to its deteriorated state. Thankfully, the Van Der Sluys family dedicated an incredible 30,000 hours to restore and rebuild the Boathouse in 1985.
Today, this historic venue stands as a testament to resilience and passion, offering a magnificent setting for dining, private events, and boat hire. Come and experience Fairfield Park Boathouse, where history, natural beauty, and unparalleled hospitality converge to create unforgettable memories.
