Where to Book Lunch this EOFY

May 16th, 2025

Find somewhere for your whole team…

With End of Financial Year approaching, we get that it can sometimes be tough to pick somewhere to go with your team to celebrate.

It needs to be somewhere close enough to the office, large enough for the entire team, and tasty enough to not put the works credit card to shame. Here’s where we shine!

We know every spot like the back of our hand and we’ve pulled them together into a neat list for you convenience. Check out these central pubs and bars in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Perth to head to for your work EOFY lunch.

Melbourne CBD

Melbourne’s buzzing CBD is packed with top-notch venues perfect for an EOFY team lunch. Start with Morris House, a multi-level gem with a rooftop bar, chic interiors, and a basement comedy lounge for teams who love a little entertainment with their meal.

For riverside relaxation, Yarra Botanica floats right on the Yarra, serving up botanical cocktails and Victorian produce with unbeatable views. Over near Southern Cross, the brand-new Quarterhouse is perfect for groups with its rooftop vibes, modern fit-out, and easy transport access.

After something European and elegant? State of Grace combines a vibrant dining room with a secret cellar bar and rooftop terrace – a total crowd-pleaser. Pub classics get a glow-up at Imperial Hotel Bourke Street, where hearty meals meet one of Melbourne’s best rooftops overlookiing Parliament House. Down the road, The Duke of Wellington offers a mix of old-school charm and contemporary dining, just a short stroll from Fed Square.

Or, if you’re feeling a little festive, Tippy Tay is a lively Italian-style trattoria hidden inside Garden State Hotel, full of colour, carbs, and cocktails. If laid-back is the brief, head riverside to Hopscotch in Southbank for street eats, craft beers and an open-air buzz.

And just across the bridge, Melbourne Public mixes industrial-chic interiors with group-friendly vibes in South Wharf. Or go full craft beer mode at Beer Deluxe Fed Square, home to over 150 beers and a central location that makes post-lunch commutes a breeze.

Perth CBD

Perth has no shortage of incredible spots to raise a glass to the financial year that was. Lil’s Rooftop & Bar is your go-to for golden hour drinks and sunset selfies that opened earlier in January 2025. With a laid-back rooftop vibe and share-friendly menu, it’s made for team toasts.

A short walk away, The Globe delivers classic pub fare with a sleek modern twist, plus a laneway bar and courtyard for casual catchups. Looking for sky-high style? The Aviary sits above it all on Murray Street, bringing palm-fringed rooftop vibes and a menu that works for every appetite.

Down near Yagan Square, Market Grounds combines a heritage-listed space with lush modern dining and flexible group areas. If your team loves craft beer, book a spot at BrewDog Perth, where river views and industrial-cool interiors set the scene for burgers, beers, and banter.

Finish on the waterfront at The Royal, a breezy East Perth staple where the drinks are cold, and the views go down easy.

Brisbane CBD & Inner Suburbs

From heritage pubs to riverside hotspots, Brisbane knows how to host a work lunch. Nestled just off Eagle Street, Port Office Hotel offers old-world charm with a fresh, modern menu that’s perfect for seated team lunches.

If river views are a must, head straight to Riverland, where food vendors, cocktails and open-air spaces come together under the Story Bridge. In West End, The Boundary Hotel offers leafy courtyards and a relaxed vibe, making it ideal for teams who like things casual but quality.

Over in Toowong, Regatta Hotel delivers classic Queensland hospitality, with multiple dining zones and river views worth lingering over. Northside teams can opt for Crown Hotel in Lutwyche – great pub food, modern interiors and space to spread out.

And for a breezy local feel, Everton Park Hotel has everything from beer gardens to private rooms, plus plenty of parking.

Sydney CBD

In Sydney, a great EOFY lunch is only ever a few steps from the office. Henley’s Bar & Kitchen sits on Carrington Street and blends business lunch polish with a seriously solid drinks list. Over in Barangaroo, Untied brings the rooftop energy with tropical cocktails, pastel decor and harbour glimpses to boot.

Head down to King Street Wharf for Bungalow 8, where coastal vibes, share platters and waterfront seating make it perfect for long lunches that roll into sunset. After something more elevated? Kingsleys Woolloomooloo delivers premium steaks and seafood with sweeping Finger Wharf views.

In Surry Hills, The Winery is a leafy garden bar that mixes rosé-fuelled charm with quirky interiors and a menu made for grazing. And just a few minutes from Redfern Station, BrewDog South Eveleigh serves up signature craft brews, epic burgers and plenty of space for the whole team to kick back.
