Perth’s Cosiest Winter Activities

3min | June 23rd, 2026

Perth winter has a very specific kind of charm.

Sunny rooftop lunches still make sense, coastal plans are still very much on the cards, and anything involving carbs, roast meat or mulled wine suddenly feels like an excellent use of the calendar.

This season, some of The Pass’ favourite Perth are making winter plans easy, with bottomless gnocchi by the beach, smoky BBQ sessions, drag brunch, Sunday carvery, après ski long lunches and bubbling-hot lasagne rolls.

Whether you’re planning a Thursday night dinner, a long lunch, a Sunday roast or a very lively afternoon with your crew, here’s where to book your next Perth winter outing.

Scarborough Beach Bar

If your ideal winter plan begins with a big bowl of carbs, Scarborough Beach Bar has understood the assignment.

Every Thursday from 5pm, Bottomless Gnocchi is bringing two hours of soft, pillowy gnocchi to the table, with your choice of three chef-selected sauces. Add ocean views and a glass in hand, and suddenly Thursday night is looking far more cosy than usual.

Tickets are $45 per person, with two hours of bottomless gnocchi included.

The Guildford Hotel

The Guildford Hotel is firing up winter with proper feeds across the colder months.

First up, a Bottomless BBQ series is turning select winter dates into a smoky feast of meats, sides, house wines and beers. For $89 per person, guests can tuck into 90 minutes of bottomless BBQ, with each event spotlighting a different regional style. Upcoming winter dates include Mexican BBQ on 10 July, followed by more sessions on 14 August and 11 September.

For Christmas in July, The Guildford Hotel is also bringing back Roast by the Metre from Friday to Sunday throughout July. Gather the group for a generous shared roast spread loaded with meats, crispy potatoes, seasonal vegetables and festive trimmings. Very strong “clear the table, we need space” energy.

Then there’s Winterville, returning from Thursday 16 July to Sunday 26 July. This immersive Nordic Vikings hall dining experience includes a three-course feast and two interactive cocktails across selected July sessions. Tickets are $115 per person, and yes, it sounds like the kind of dinner where someone in the group will absolutely commit to the theme.

Victoria Park Hotel

Victoria Park Hotel is bringing the family-friendly Christmas in July goods with a free Family Fun Day on Sunday 26 July.

Running from 12pm to 2pm, the day includes a Snowflake Sparkle Bar, DIY snow globes and a special visit from Santa and his helper. It’s cute, crafty and festive enough to make the kids believe winter in Perth deserves its own North Pole moment.

The event is free, with bookings recommended for groups planning to settle in for lunch.

The Court

The Court’s Drag Brunch is here for the friends who like their winter long lunches loud, loose and extremely entertaining.

Running from 2pm to 4pm on select dates, Drag Brunch brings together free-flowing wines, house cocktails, interactive drag performances, games and a generous spread of finger food. It’s built for birthdays, group catch-ups and anyone who firmly believes brunch should come with a performance schedule.

Tickets are $95 per person.

The Duke

Some Sundays call for a proper roast, and The Duke’s Carvery Roast is answering with soup, carvery and dessert.

Every Sunday from 11.30am until sold out, The Duke serves up a buffet-style roast made for slow afternoons and second helpings. For $38, guests can settle in for warming soup, a classic carvery selection and dessert to finish.

It’s hearty, cosy and exactly the kind of winter plan that makes “just one more plate” feel completely reasonable.

The Claremont

The Claremont is taking its European Long Lunch Tour to the French Alps, with an Après Ski Long Lunch on the rooftop every Saturday from 1pm to 3pm.

Expect two hours of flowing spritzes, wine and beer, plus mulled wine and cider for the full winter mood. The menu is made for long, leisurely grazing, with a spritz garnish station so guests can build their drink with custom garnishes.

It’s alpine-style indulgence with Perth sunshine overhead, which is honestly a pretty strong trade-off.

The Après Ski Long Lunch runs every Saturday from 1pm to 3pm. Tickets are $89 per person, or $60 per person for food only.

Lil’s Rooftop

Lil’s is bringing a little Italian comfort to the colder months with its Lasagne Roll Special, and yes, she sounds rich.

Available Monday to Wednesday, all day, the lasagne roll is cheesy, bubbling hot and best enjoyed with a vino in hand. At $28, it’s a very persuasive reason to turn a quiet weeknight into dinner plans.

Because some winter nights need salad. Others need lasagne. We know which team we’re on.
