Cosy Winter Events in Brisbane

3min | June 15th, 2026

Queensland winter knows exactly what it’s doing. Crisp evenings, cosy pub corners, warm plates, festive drinks and just enough chill in the air to make a Christmas feast feel like a very good idea.

This June and July, Brisbane is leaning into the season with roast dinners, mulled wine, baked brie, festive cocktails, ugly sweaters and even snowfall moments. It’s all the best bits of winter, plus get the Xmas cheer without the December diary panic.

Whether you’re planning an friend-mas dinner, a long-overdue catch-up, or a family feast, these cosy winter events are ready to bring the warmth.

Here’s where to book your winter plans with The Pass.

Jimmy’s on The Mall, Brisbane City

If your winter personality is “European wine country, but make it Queen Street Mall”, Jimmy’s on The Mall has your name written all over it.

Jimmy’s Vinyard on The Mall is bringing cosy pop-up energy to Brisbane City, with live music, warm lighting, rustic barrels, greenery and plenty of wintry things to eat and drink. Think mulled wine, baked brie and carbonara cob loaf, which is a menu doing a very persuasive job of getting us out of the house.

It’s free to enter, so you can wander in for the vibes, stay for the cob loaf, and pretend you’re on a tiny Euro escape without touching your annual leave.

Jimmy’s Vinyard on The Mall runs until 28 June. Entry is free, and bookings are recommended.

Crown Hotel, Lutwyche

Crown Hotel is serving Christmas in July without the December rush, which means no gift panic, no sweltering roast lunch, and no one asking whether you’ve “finished your shopping yet”.

From 1 July to 31 July, Crown Hotel is setting the table for festive winter catch-ups, complete with Christmas table decorations and an optional two-course feast. The menu keeps it classic with mixed ham and turkey roast, baked seasonal vegetables, and traditional Christmas pudding with brandy custard.

There’s also an ugly sweater competition, so this is your chance to pull out the knitwear that only makes sense once a year. The louder, fluffier and more questionable, the better.

Crown Hotel’s Christmas in July runs from 1 July to 31 July. The optional two-course Christmas feast is $35 per person, and bookings are essential.

Fitzy’s Loganholme

Fitzy’s Loganholme is going big on the Christmas in July feast, which is excellent news for anyone looking to put a proper winter dinner in the calendar.

Running all month long in July, Fitzy’s is serving a festive plated feast with two-course and three-course options. The two-course menu includes roast turkey and honey glazed ham with roast potato, pumpkin, green beans, cranberry sauce and gravy, followed by your choice of pavlova with fresh fruit and cream or plum pudding with custard and berries.

The three-course option starts with a classic prawn cocktail with baby gem, Marie Rose sauce and avocado, then moves into the roast turkey and honey glazed ham main event, before finishing with dessert.

In other words, come hungry. This is a “comfy eating pants” situation.

Fitzy’s Loganholme is celebrating Christmas in July all month long in July. The two-course menu is $35 per person, and the three-course menu is $45 per person.
