Where to Watch the NRL

Footy’s back! All the big hits are here with the exciting new addition of the Redcliffe Dolphins for season 2023. Can Wayne Bennett’s men shake up the competition in their opening season in the NRL?

What makes for the perfect spot to catch the game? The local of course, but not just any local will do. What matters? Big vision, big sound, ice cold beers and top-notch footy feeds, along with an atmosphere to rival being at the game itself.

It’s game on at some of QLD’s best footy venues, here’s cheers to the return of footy for 2023 and winning no matter what — because we’re rewarding you on every purchase you make using The Pass. So don’t just catch the game, catch points on your next round with us at any of the below locations.

Check out our Live Sports finder to search for specific games and sports showing at a pub near you.

The Boundary Hotel

This West End watering hole is a simple choice, guaranteed good vibes and a great feed so you can sit back and watch every second live and loud.

It’s home to a public bar with all the charm you need and when you pair it with The Pass, you won’t even have to leave your seat for that half-time round. Skip the queue at the bar or soak up a few more minutes on the rooftop by ordering straight to your table.

Or if you’re coming in hot post-match, it’s an eight-minute drive before you’re straight back into the action. In short, it’s enough time to sort yourself out and make sure your mates are ready and raring to go!

The Crown Hotel

This might not be your closest option to Suncorp Stadium, although a 10-minute drive could be worse, but it is still a top contender if you want the best of both worlds. No need to compromise, catch the game live and dig into a damn tasty meal at the same time. Perfect if you’ve got family in tow and need something that suits everyone!

And with weekly specials almost every day of the week you won’t have to break the bank to enjoy it. Plus, redeem any of your banked Pass points for that extra bit of help to cover a round or two.

Regatta Hotel

Always a crowd favourite; Regatta Hotel has every need met. This lady of the river offers you everything under the sun, somewhere to watch the game if you choose to skip the crowds and multiple levels to swing into pre- or post-game – we’re talking an open-air courtyard, underground whiskey bar which is perfect should your team not come out on top and The Boatshed, the best pick for a deliciously good feed that’s not just a pub menu.

Burleigh Town Hotel

We couldn’t make a list talking sport watering holes without mentioning the Burleigh Town Hotel. Whilst this is a Gold Coast pub, it’s worth the limelight we’re about to give it so hear us out.

Home to one of the largest screens in the southern hemisphere; and paired with a crowd kiss cam (yes, you read that right), it’s an NRL-lover’s dream. Chuck in a nostalgic snack menu and you’re already coming out on top regardless of what the score is.
