Australia’s Best AFL Grand Final Pub Plans

3min | September 9th, 2026

AFL Grand Final plans across Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide…

Across Australia, pubs on The Pass are pulling out beer towers, siren-to-siren drinks packages, dry-aged feasts, family entertainment, rooftop parties and more big screens than you can poke a schooner at.

Whether you’re after a harbourside table, a proper beer garden with the kids in tow, a rooftop with a view of the city, or just the nearest big screen and a cold one, there’s a plan for every kind of footy fan across the country.

Pick your city below and find your next Grand Final booking.

Sydney

Sydney’s pubs might not have the Grand Final on their home turf, but they’re not letting that stop them going all in.

The Golden Sheaf is turning Double Bay into Grand Final HQ with multiple big screens and DJs in the beer garden after the final siren, while Cargo Bar on King Street Wharf is fuelling the crew with a $99 Hahn SuperDry beer tower and share platter, siren to siren. Over in the Inner West, The Erko is keeping things loud with $20 Tooheys jugs and AFL footy bingo from the first bounce.

From waterfront rooftops to Erskineville beer gardens, Sydney is proving the Grand Final doesn’t need to be played at home to be worth celebrating.

Brisbane

Brisbane is proving you don’t need to be in Melbourne to make Grand Final Day feel like the biggest day of the year.

Regatta Hotel is running a dedicated AFL Finals Footy Menu right through to Grand Final Day, built for sharing over big screens and cold drinks. Down on the Gold Coast, Burleigh Town Hotel is home to one of the largest screens in the Southern Hemisphere, while Coomera Lodge Hotel is turning the day into a family affair with face painting and a ball toss comp for the kids.

From Brisbane’s riverside pubs to the Gold Coast’s biggest screens, Queensland is ready for the season finale.

Melbourne

Melbourne wrote the book on Grand Final Day, and its pubs are throwing everything at it this year.

Hopscotch is turning Grand Final week into a five-day event on the Yarra, with the $179 Siren-to-Siren Package running from 9am on the big day, while Quarterhouse is screening the match on a 3.5m rooftop screen with bottomless house wines and schooners. Just 700m from the MCG, Imperial Bourke Street is open from 8am as Grand Final HQ, with complimentary rooftop snags and live music all day.

Whether you’re pre-gaming across the road from the ‘G or watching from a rooftop with the skyline as your backdrop, Melbourne has Grand Final Day covered every way you like it.

Adelaide

Adelaide is keeping it classic this Grand Final Day: beer gardens, big screens and siren-to-siren drink packages all round.

Brighton Metro Hotel is screening the game across its Beer Garden and Sports Bar for $80 per person, while Mick O’Shea’s is craning an 8sqm outdoor screen into the beer garden for the day before the party rolls on with a DJ from 8:30pm. Over at Waterloo Station Hotel, the $89 Siren-to-Siren premium beverage package runs straight into an after-party with a live band from 8pm.

However you like your footy watched, Adelaide’s pubs have Grand Final Day sorted.

Perth

It’s a fair hike to the ‘G from the west coast, but Perth’s pubs are making sure nobody misses out on the atmosphere.

BrewDog Perth is promising the best game day atmosphere outside the MCG, with $10 tickets including a drink and raffle entry, while Market Grounds is going all in with a $95pp package of bottomless Aperol Spritz and a mates footy platter, or a $120pp VIP upgrade with a 3-course meal and front-row seats. Out in Victoria Park, Victoria Park Hotel has a VIP Siren-to-Siren package in the Albany Room alongside a Grand Final Games Academy for the kids.

Wherever you land in Perth, the crew, the cold ones and the big screen are sorted.
