Adelaide’s Best Father’s Day Bookings

3 minutes | August 13th, 2026

Celebrate Dad they way he wants… at the pub

Father’s Day is Sunday 6 September 2026, and Adelaide’s pubs have decided a $10 gift card and a hastily written card just won’t cut it this year. We’re talking petting zoos, buffet breakfasts, weekend-long premium spreads and at least one DJ set, because Dad deserves a soundtrack now too.

Whether he wants a big family day out, a quiet early buffet before the crowds arrive, or a Sunday session with a bit more energy to it, there’s a booking below built exactly for him.

From Hackham to Mile End, here’s where to book Adelaide’s best Father’s Day plans.

Mick O’Shea’s, Hackham

If there’s one Father’s Day booking in Adelaide worth building the whole day around, it’s this one.

Mick O’Shea’s is going all in on Sunday 6 September, with all-day dining for the grown-ups and a genuine petting zoo, face painting and balloon animals for the kids, the kind of lineup that turns a Sunday lunch into an actual event. Dad gets his own reward too, with $11 imperial pints and $7.50 house wines during Happy Hour from 4pm to 6pm, so there’s still a reason to linger once the animals have gone home.

Payneham Tavern, Payneham

Payneham Tavern is doing Father’s Day the way it should be done: no fuss, just a proper roast and a reason to relax.

From 11.30am to 8.30pm on Sunday 6 September, dig into the $34 Sunday Roast, choice of lamb, beef or pork, with roasted potatoes, carrots, market greens and gravy. Free kids’ entertainment runs from 12pm to 3pm, and live acoustic music kicks off from 1pm, so the whole family has somewhere to be and something to listen to while Dad eats in peace.

Brighton Metro, Brighton

Why fit Father’s Day into one lunch when Brighton Metro is happy to give it a whole weekend?

Charlie’s Diner is rolling out its Premium Buffet across both lunch and dinner on Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 September, giving families more flexibility than the usual single sitting. It’s $60 for adults, $50 for seniors and $21 for kids, and with a spread generous enough to cover every fussy eater at the table, there’s no excuse not to make a weekend of it.

Waterloo Station Hotel, Paralowie

Waterloo Station Hotel has thought this one through, because Dads and kids rarely want the same thing at the same time.

On Sunday 6 September, book in for lunch or dinner while superhero entertainment keeps the kids busy and Dad actually gets to sit down. Early risers aren’t forgotten either, with a separate Father’s Day Buffet Breakfast on offer for anyone who’d rather start the celebrations before the day gets going.

Hampstead Hotel, Collinswood

For the Dads who are up before everyone else anyway, Hampstead Hotel has the answer.

From 8am to 10am on Sunday 6 September, the all-you-can-enjoy breakfast buffet rolls out crispy bacon, freshly cooked eggs, sausages, pancakes, waffles, fresh breads, pastries, seasonal fruit and more, for $43 for adults and $18 for kids aged 6 to 12, with under-5s eating free. Not a morning crowd? Hampstead’s also open for lunch and dinner, so the celebrations can happen whenever it suits.

The Mile End Hotel, Mile End

Not every Dad wants a roast and a nap. Some want a DJ, and The Mile End Hotel is happy to oblige.

On Sunday 6 September, settle in for all-day dining as a DJ takes over from 2pm to 5pm, trading the usual Father’s Day script for good food, good tunes and a bit more energy in the room. Not a normal Father’s Day in the best kind of way.
